I have heard from a few people (including in this forum) that they've been told by the CIC or their representative that they need to wait for 9 month for their applications to be finalized.
I thought I'd start this new thread to see if others have heard the same thing upon calling CIC or from other sources.

No its still 6 months but depend on case to case. If you follow AOR september thread they ate getting PPR within 5-6 months timeframe

This link over here says 6 months, but in reality, it depends on case to case. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/index.asp#

I am almost 12 months, 9 months is nothing~

You got your ITA last Feb 2015 and still not processed? Did you make any CASE Specific Inquiry?

yeah, I did.
and every time I got same response: under review.

I talked to my immigration helper on Friday. She is in contact with other immigration lawyers and their clients made it all under 6 months. So I guess it is case specific.

I wouldn't say it's case specific, I would say it is VOs specific ;)

Tempa, how complicated is your case? Meaning do you feel there is anything in your application that could delay your processing time by more than six months, i.e., were you divorced; any complex situation with your spouse or children; number of countries you have resided, is your employment, POF and background in general easily verifiable, etc.?
