Is 6 overall band with 5 in one module enough to get Visa for 1 year pg diploma?

Hi,

It is really not clear as the SPP criteria simply states 6.0 overall with no minimum.

Though the Colleges are fine with giving admission to students, now and in the past as well, but there have been rejections because of IELTS not just overall but minimum (coupled with other reasons like financial capablity and study mismatch, as applicable to those cases).... also if the student is applying for Grad certificate, even if college is ok with score, CHC may still refuse.


Also bro most of the consultants just want to make money they will just agree to anything but at the end its the student who suffers.

So, take a calculated decision. Best of luck !

Instead of this, you should ask if its possible to get LOA on the basis of 5.0 band in one section!

Atleast under SPP for PG Diploma/Certificate most of the colleges require minimum 6.5 bands overall with no individual module score under 5.5, but a few colleges do offer at 6 bands as well but its not sure will they allow admission with 5 bands score in one of the module.

You might get admission but you can face rejection from CHC for such a score.

You should consider taking IELTS again.

The score you have doesn't looks good for almost any of post graduate diploma course .

so it is advisable to retake ielts..

PLease do not even try. Rewrite exam. IELTS is easy dear. Concentrate and study...give best shot.

i agree that some gets visa with such profile but that is entirely their luck and no efforts. Why to take risks. I know some people from this forum got rejection even with 6.5 band and reason was poor language. So please make your file strong keeping no doubts. Just work hard now and be relax for future. or else be relax now and be prepared for bad time. Hard work has future pay off. Laziness pays off now.

you can take help of your English teacher for English writing if you still in touch with your teachers. Coaching is another option.
My English teacher helped me lot during IELTS. There are many online tests too to sharpen your writing skills.
have faith dear...you will get good bands if you study sincerely.

Hey friend.

You will might get some problem in Visa because of language ability. There are colleges which give admission with this score. But CHC won't approve this score for PGD. My friend also scored 6 band overall for PGD and unfortunately his visa got refused for Sept,2013 because of low IELTS score. So to be on safe side, Improve your IELTS score. Make it to 6.5 overall with no individual than 6.

Guys i have submit my application with 6 bands in pg in niagra college with 5.5 in reading sectionas i meet minimun requirements as in graduation its 57% 12 71% 10 60%..what are my chances?
