Hi All,

Is the 12,000 cap applicable for NOC 2174 under experience class.

if yes, can we find out how many application were submitted till date.

thanks and regards,

Yes, all skilled levels are subject to overall cap. It cannot be tracked in cic website.

If I am correct, 12,000 CAP is applicable only to NOC B Applications.
It does not cover NOC A or 0 applicants.
Seniors, please correct me if my understanding is wrong.

No, 12000 is overall cap and 200 sub-cap per level B occupation.

Cap is for total number of CEC applications received:

> From November 9, 2013 to October 31, 2014, CIC will accept a maximum of 12,000 new, complete applications under the Canadian Experience Class.

And currently stands at:

> Total applications received towards the overall cap: 1,213 / 12,000

Total applications received towards the overall cap: 1,213 / 12,000

That's not the overall number, CIC is misleading people. 1213 is total number of applications in NOC B only.

"Misleading" is a bit strong, it's more likely the web developer who did that page has misunderstood how the cap works.

But yes, as the numbers in the NOC B table currently sum to 1,213, you can bet that the actual number of applications is somewhat higher until they fix that page.

Is there a way we can tell them that the number doesn't give overall # of applicants so far, so that they can correct.

Yes you are right..no Noc code cap for NOC A or 0 applicants. only the overall Cap is applicable. Don't worry about the CAP looking at the rate of number of applications accepted, maximum of 5000 applications can be predicted till the 31st of OCT 2014

Yes, if NOC B applications continue at the current rate, there will be fewer than 5,000 NOC B applications. But because of the bug on that web page we currently don't know how many NOC 0 and A applications there are.

If I had to guess, the 12,000 cap will not be reached, or perhaps will only be reached toward the very end of the cap period.

There's a feedback form on the site somewhere. I'm going to send them some feedback and perhaps others should too.

System Updated. It just got doubled. :o :o :o

The new # is 3,353/12,000 now

I know, if this goes for 3 more weeks then they are done accepting for this year.

Interestingly, i don't see any mentioning of NOC 2174. It is hard to digest no one applied. Plus i did see a few others which list 0 applications, still the profession was mentioned.

Wondering if any one knows why it's like that.
