My fiancee Emma and I are wanting to live and work in Canada, whether that be temporary or permanent, we don't mind we just want the experience. We are both Irish and we are getting married next May and instead of our honeymoon we are going to use our money to explore Canada a little, to try and find out where we would like to work/stay. We are in no rush, as long as this was within the next year and a half.
I have been a Web Developer for over 10 years and Emma has managerial experience in the hospitality industry. Not sure if our job sectors are any help to what we are looking to do.
From our own research, we think we need to apply for an IEC visa. Is this our best option? We are worried that one of us might get this and the other might not. Does being married affect/help anything?
Out of curiosity are there any schemes/programmes that may be helpful to us?
