Yes, you need to send an email to request a written authorization for her to travel, u may as well need one if you don’t have a job in Canada at the moment but if you do have a job, you’re good. Your mum must have an essential reason for her travel to Canada as well

Hi,
I have COPR and immigration visa, issued on Dec 2020, I have no immediate family in Canada and I'm starting to work remotely with a company in Canada. Is there any way for me to get an AL?

I don't think there is anything you can do.

You can travel alone.

Your spouse will need to wait until travel restrictions have lifted.

I assume you have family in Canada and are eligible. How is your wife eligible for travel authorization? Who is her family member in Canada? She is not eligible if it is your family members.

I'm on a study permit in Canada. I have applied for an authorization letter for my wife and kid to travel to Canada to reunite with me. We have received authorization letter both for my wife and child. They both are having valid TRV/Visitor visa and my wife doesn't have an open work permit.

However, recently I have read some post on FB/Twitter that some people were denied boarding in India even if they had valid authorization letter and TRV. Is it true? Would there be any problem for my wife and kid to travel?

I really appreciate your advice.

Hi,

I had requested for authorization letter for my spouse and son for their travel to Canada as I'm on a work permit currently working in Canada.
Today received update saying its rejected and reason mentioned as ' you have not established that your reasons for travelling are non discretionary or non optional'.
I had mentioned the reason as 'family reunite'.
can i submit again with some strong reason? will they consider ?
Hi , Did you get your authorization letter, even i am in the same situation , can you please let me know if you have received AL letter?
