If you have received aip for fall intake instead of winter intake which you applied for, you need to send your LOA for winter intake through the web form and a letter explaining the situation.

Yes you need to send your winter intake LOA, people who received aip for winter intake is only because they submitted their application before september 15th which was the deadline for those applying for the fall intake and also for those defer their fall intake. It was clear from yesterday webinar that there will be no aip (2-step process) for winter intake. It will be the regular process like before unless a new official confirmation comes all of a sudden which is highly unlikely to happen.
I think you are not aware that there are students who applied in October and after September 15th and still got an AIP.
As per yesterday webinar it is clear that there will be no AIP for the winter intake and people who received it most probably got it as a mistake. You can’t argue with the fact they (IRCC) makes mistakes as many people in this forum received AIP as an error which was later acknowledged by ircc in a letter.
you and my condition are the same. I never applied for Fall intake. I have applied with January intake with the LOA where the start and end date is clearly mentioned. This has made me so confused.
Well #2 and #3 it is for those people who have received AIP as a mistake(as per yesterday’s IRCC webinar AIP is not applicable for winter intake ). IRCC sometimes makes mistakes like those who received AIP as an error on Sept3 n 4th which was later acknowledged by them. I believe they are suggesting people who got that to let them know it through the webform by sending your winter intake LOA which MAY(my opinion) speed up the process. This is what i came to understand but lot of people here seems to be disagreeing with me since the winter intake LOA was already submitted once while applying, so i’m not so sure either. But if it was me i would certainly send my winter intake LOA again and explain the situation through the webform as there is no harm in doing that if in-fact it does speed up my application.

I guess this is it for my hopes of getting AIP before submitting my biometrics. This means that applying early won't benefit me at all and the processing time will only start AFTER submitting biometrics, making it impossible for me to get the final approval before winter 2021 starts. Great :/
If you can somehow travel to Guatemala which seems to be the nearest VAC that is open and submit your biometrics then it would certainly speed up your process. Otherwise we can hope ircc might come up with AIP again for those countries with no open VAC’s.
