IRCC Still says Online by INVITATION only

I have sent them a webform asking about my online application and they were able to give me an affirmative answer:

No one has tricked the system. This is the internet, if IRCC didn't want people to use that link then their developers would have made the links in such a way that the only person who is invited can use it.

It's clear that the messaging from IRCC and their twitter team is that they don't want more people to apply just yet.

I understand your frustration but if IRCC says the same on their official website what can you or me can do about it. They have written it clearly and can defend legally easily. We cannot do anything about it as they have warned everyone.

Everyone has their own logics and interpretations but I will always go with what the official website says.... I don't want to argue with anyone.

“ randomly selected “ is very clear now it’s like winning a lottery ticket …. That’s explain why no one in 2021 got AOR so probably people who got selected don’t participate in this forum ! That’s my opinion..

If someone applies directly using the link provided and submits a complete application, their applications will be processed. End of discussion.

If you are in doubt, go around and ask people who applied from December 2020 till date to see if all of them were "randomly selected".

The code on the citizenship application page is such that the "Online Citizenship Application" banner is shown only 10% of the time. If you keep refreshing the page for a while, you will also be "randomly selected".

I'm not going to debate about this any further. If you are in doubt and want to know more about this (beyond what I've already provided), go to the related threads (December 2020 to May 2021) and ask around. Most of them use the same direct link.

That doesn't stand up to logic
1. the people who applied in December 2020 online did not "receive an invitation" as far as posts on the forum suggest. They used the online link, yet some have now taken their oath of citizenship
2. people who applied in early January 2021 have received AOR
3. you're saying that Canada has taken money from people applying online and will now just, what, delete the applications? Because if you're saying 2021 applicants haven't received AOR because they weren't invited you're logically saying the applications have been received but ignored. If they haven't been formally received yet then, again logically, you don't yet know if they'll be accepted or not

Canada's citizenship application is not a lottery and you do a major disservice to the country you're hoping to become a citizenship of by even suggesting it.

The hysteria on this forum regarding online applications is getting worse and I assume is being fueled by trolls who are just fanning the flames for their own enjoyment. It's a new system, it's currently seeming to take longer except for those who applied early enough to be included in an apparent initial pilot scheme. That is all we know. Everything else is rumour and innuendo, and is detrimental to the provision of actual legit advice

And the money for the fee is on a different website, so there is no IRCC is taking the money and not processing the online application, they are clearly saying that there is a restriction to apply online, and this fee receipt can be used for regular paper application . The hysteria as you say is pretty justified because April paper applications are being processed however there has been no update on the online applications since January. This is not to say that IRCC will or will not process online application but if some of us are vary about the online process there is nothing wrong with it.

Absolutely!!! And what people are doing is justifying based on someone else's prediction. I would advice to apply again on paper. Because IRCC says that if you have applied on paper do not apply online but they dont talk about the visa-versa i.e. do not apply with paper if already applied online.

I feel that this reflects very poorly on the competency of IRCC. If they say that "it’s not possible to apply for citizenship online without a direct invitation at the moment", then we have to take it at face value. Communication from a government agency must be clear, precise, and unambiguous. IRCC speaks of a "direct invitation" or a "random selection" process but does not explain how this works. It is extremely confusing.

If they said that all eligible applicants must register their interest in submitting an online application, but that only a fixed number are picked (for example on a weekly basis) to proceed to the online mode (the rest have to submit on paper), or something like that, THEN I would understand.

Without any further explanation, the statement regarding a "direct invitation" is confusing.
