How do they decide oath dates?
Is it depends on when we complete test or when we apply?

You can do it any day at anytime within the dates the specify on the test invite. No, you don't see anyone while taking the test. Your camera will be on and they will check after.

Yes, you can do the test 24 X7 on any day between the test window.

The test isn't that hard. The application will take photos at random times during the test and an IRCC official will review it after the test is complete.

Discover Canada is the main resource. Read the entire book at least once.

My family has been awaiting the oath for some time from Scarborough center and the online system is showing that the oath is scheduled for 12th July. However, we have never received any oath email and upon calling the call center they told us that there is a technical glitch and I have approached the person who has my wife after the test and has also submitted the web form, but still no response. What should I do?

You can take your test 24/7 before the test end date

Timelines are all over the place. There isn't a pattern we can deduce a timeline from. A very rough ball park figure would be anywhere between a month and a few months (?) from now but likely before the end of this year.

Received an email requesting scans of passports to cover the eligibility period. Sent them right away, as I had already made PDFs in anticipation. Updated timeline in my signature.

Edit: What has been you guys' experience with this? How long after submitting the scans do they change the status on the ECAS and/or the new tracker?

Homer79, our timelines are almost identical. I have received a request for passport scan today as well. Will keep you posted.

Finally after a long long wait I got DM on ECAS and in the tracker everything turned to completed today. But the oath status in the tracker still shows not started…. Any input is appreciated.

Tomorrow it should change to "In Progress" with a set date for your Oath.

Whatever platform they require you to use, use that. I think for oaths, it's zoom. Don't worry you don't have to download anything, you can use zoom via browser.
