Yes i did send last week no reply. But Thursday i received a ghost update. I will wait untill Wednesday then i will call IRCC

I contacted IRCC asked about the urgent processing request, unfortunately they refused it as my passport expiring in Nov 24 but in my application i request them, That after may24 i cannot cross boder as i am long haul trucker my boder cross depends on the visa/passport expiry. Anyways good thing is that they start working on the file.

Thanks for the update and I do feel sorry about your rejection. Can you please confirm if you sent an email to with letter of explanation or did you just send an email with explaining your situation? And how do you know they started working on your application?

I have an in-person Oath Ceremony in first week of June. During in-person ceremony, do I have a choice to receive the paper citizenship Certificate although I have opted the online certificate in the application.

Please advise.

Hi Everyone,
This is very frustrating as I’ve had no updates since September 2023. My PR has been expired since April 2024 and my passport. I want to visit my sick dad back in my homeland but there are no progress on my citizenship application from the last update.
