Also on portal it says "Waiting for you" -- What does this means... my understanding we have to receive a Oath Instruction email from IRCC...Kindly share your thoughts

Yes, I believe that's what it means.

From what I can see, their "Waiting for you" indication is a total mess - it's more confusing than helpful. In our case it's even stranger: "Send us additional information - Waiting for you" never got hidden after we submitted everything they requested. My wife even asked about it on her in-person interview, and turns out nothing additional was needed, and she got invited to the oath with "Send us additional information - Waiting for you" still in the tracker as of now. I guess an immigration officer just forgot to uncheck a checkbox somewhere.

Update: Applied for my passport today, got to the passport office as early as 6am (I know I know don’t judge me), but was able to get it today at 3pm( I’m travelling tomorrow). And yes, it’s the new model

If you don't mind me asking, what did you take to prove the urgency? Was it just the plane tickets, or did you have to bring other supporting documentation? My oath was scheduled for March 12, and I have non-refundable tickets that were booked way in advance for March 21, and I'm a bit paranoid I won't have enough time. I can't even imagine how you must have felt.

Yes, I presented my travel tickets for the next day. For you, they may not let you pick up the passport the same day because your travel date is not considered urgent. But you can apply for express
