IRCC Scarborough Applicants - Online Test/Interview/DM/Oath

Hey everyone, (looking for some hope in this forum)

This is my timeline so far (Scarborough office)

Application filed - Jan 04, 2023
Background verification - Feb 08, 2023
Citizenship test status updated - Feb 10, 2023
Schedule for citizenship test -Feb 17, 2023 - March 09, 2023
Citizenship test completed - Feb 27, 2023
Last update - March 02, 2023

Stil waiting for LPP. I haven't received any news. The funny thing is that a friend of mine applied one week later, got assigned to Scarborough, too and did her Oath on May 23.

Anyone in with my same scenario?

There are many people who are in this situation who applied in 2022 and some even 2021. This office is like a black hole, once a file goes in it, our knowledge fails to describe how it can get out.

Guys, help me out here please. Since I got the oath date from the SCR office through email but the tracker still says "Ceremony not started" should I email the officer back asking for this? Been trying to call IRCC for almost a week and whether that be 8 in the morning or right an hour before their call centre closes, it's the same freakin thing "Can't connect you at the moment"

the email you got should be enough, lots had their oaths and not even LPP completed on the tracker

Folks anyone's file assigned to officer with initials GW? please let me know as this officer is a ghost now!!! stuck since March 1st

I don't think you can get in touch with the officer directly. If you submit a webform or even email the office, it does not go to the officer directly. They are simply notified about your query and respond accordingly

I am asking to see if anyone still stuck in LPP and their AOR from last year, and might have the same officer initials assigned! trying to put together some sense of what is going on at IRCC

Why do you think they are responding to some with a confirmation of Oath date (those who have Oath not started on the tracker) vs others they are not?

Please keep me posted if you get an update on Tracker or get an actual Oath email, I am not fully sold on idea that some one has scheduled my oath but has not triggered an update to the tracker. Since the long wait I am always skeptic with IRCC

For sure. I am in between of beliefs. There has been instances where one of my friend got test invite but someone's else UCI and applications details. So I am not 100% about the email either. The email said you will get Notice to appear 1 week prior the oath date. So I will wait and see if it comes. If not then will email them.

Something interesting just happened..

I called the helpline and said "everything has been marked completed. I want to get an update on the oath date"

The agent said "they are trying to schedule your Oath for July 17th but its not confirmed until you get the invitation"

I asked what the agent meant by trying and if its 50/50 or 80/20 to which he said its 100% most times but..

Rest assured your oath is when that email says it is
