Hi folks, we just received the oath invitation emails. My kid and I have the same zoom link, with different seat numbers.
If my kid and I use the same device and join the same zoom link, would we be able to input both of our seat numbers? I'm just confused about how to do oath as a family virtually with the same device. A bit worried that if we just input my seat number, would my kid be considered as absent of the oath ceremony....
Please share your experience. Much thanks.
yes. You will be able to input both numbers. Check Zoom rename functionality before the ceremony.

In Zoom right click you name and then provide seat numbers separated by underscores. Also advisable to provide initials of primary applicant.

Ex:
Applicant 1: 59 , primary applicant, initials: DM
Applicant 2: 60

provide

59_60_DM

Duration depends on how enthusiastic your judge is.
My spouse's ceremony was for full 2.5 hrs. Several stories before, during and after oath. 125 candidates.
Mine was just over an hour. To the point. Close to 150 candidates.
Different judge. Different processing center. Same date.

What Stories?

When you take the Oath via Zoom do all 125 candidates take the oath at the same time? I would imagine that would be an Audio nightmare, 125 people all out of sync saying the Oath all at once.

So, when it comes to Immigration, nothing can be predicted. There are people from December who received the test invite in January and did the test and updated to completed in 2 to 3 days, but also people like you who did it and still no update. I would suggest calling them to see if your test was validated. Keep in mind, there are people from January 2022 who are still waiting for background checks, so its an endless topic... Good luck!
