IRCC Scarborough Applicants - Online Test/Interview/DM/Oath

- AOR arrived January 2021
- BG check February 2021
- test was the next step August 2021
- after test IRCC asked for colour copies of passport/ travel documents, November 2021
- because I gave test outside of Canada , IRCC asked proofs of exit/ entry in Canada before/ after citizenship test . It was July 2022
- finally in August 2022 IRCC send me email for interview in person to Scarborough office
- next day of interview, all the lights turned green and ECAS website showed “ Decision Made “.
That’s the story of my application.
my advice:
-Don’t go to lawyers they don’t know nothing/ or not enough about how IRCC works. Lawyers make you more crazy because more you worry/ more you going to pay them.
- be patient, there is a line of applicants before you . I saw applicants from 2018, 2019, waiting for long time to have interview
- Best advice: Pray to God ! I told you my application history, to understand how long and strong was my patience. Don’t worry!
Something else; I saw applicants from 2018, 2019 having their interview+ citizenship ceremony in the same day. This means that soon u going to have your citizenship!

Thanks very much dear! this really helps a lot to keep myself positive. i was thinking to contatc some lawyers. but i agree I may just waste my time an dmoney over there. i am waiting from 27 months but no test invite even yet. Do you know anyone before Juen 2020 who is also waiting for their tets invite ?

Don’t go to lawyers please, their job is to make you crazy. IRCC has applicants from 2018, 2019 still waiting to have the Oath!

27 months and not even a test invite?? Any background check activity? Have you ordered GCMS notes recently?

You actually have waited long enough that consulting a lawyer could be very helpful. But first get a recent set of GCMS notes if you don't have them already to make sure there isn't anything indicating something like background check stuck pending on outside responses. For routine cases at 27 months or more and little or no activity, having a lawyer file Writ of Mandamus for you can be effective.

@andrem from the May 2020 applicants is one recent Writ of Mandamus success case. Nothing, not even a test invite after 26 months. Then everything finished including citizenship certificate received within under 2 months of his lawyer filing the Mandamus:

Mine is 28-months old but at least I'm done with test and interview. Yours is too delayed!

Congrats. I'm 28 months in but still no DM...Maybe because I'm outside.

Not yet, only updated in my track: Scheduled for Citizenship oath 21 October, 2022. Follow the instructions you will receive in your ceremony invitation. The notice you’ll receive is the official confirmation of the appointment………
So, is this email for in person appointment? Or online appointment? Not yet received the email/ mail.
