Could you give us an idea of what kind of questions they asked you in the interview?

I wonder why some people have it and some don't... Do you think it could be them verifying language abilities or more concerns around your travel movements etc...?

I saw applicants from 2018 that gave interview + ceremony in the same day.
They asked: Why to you travelled to USA ? Where you gone? Why?
Do you work? Did u study? If not working who paid your school? I answered: Ontario Government. And I do simple life sharing rend with friends. I travelled to friends & family members.
Ok !-the official said - I’m going to review your application your travelling story and you will receive after an email with the day of ceremony
I asked: Do you need now all my tickets + boarding passes during this 5 years? And I showed all the proofs.
official answered: No I don’t need anything!
Thank you ! I think that is only language verification and random questions. Income is not a problem, you can study can get OSAP. I showed my certificates.
But something is important: They are doing ceremony and interview in the same day.

My language skills were completed right after the interview so I figured interview is only for language skills assessment...

Do the official during the interview tells the day of ceremony- or says : We will review the documents and contact you with an email for the day of ceremony???

He didn't say anything about it and I also didn't ask...Just asked me to send passport scans...

Nope...It's been 5 months after the interview...I think they're putting it on hold. Better get back to Canada before my PR card expires...

I renewed my PR card last month, it took only 60 days to process.

28 months. I guess they're not happy that I'm still outside. But some people I know got DM while in China...I guess it depends on the office.

I also had my in-person interview on August 30, we applied as a family of four, the interview was general questions regarding the travel history, job, address and some random questions to access your language speaking and listening, it went well and as some of the people mentioned here about the oath same day, so i asked the officer about it (we saw multiple people asked if they can take oath today) so what she informed that they are randomly selecting the people for this but only single applicant or couple with no minor, they are currently not offering oath to families with minors, anyways my finger print was also expired as i saw the tracker and the officer also asked to get the finger print done again once i receive the email. the next day my wife tracker has been updated to completed everything except citizenship ceremony and mine is everything in progress except citizenship test. hope this helps.

I had been outside of Canada only 1 month per year, so if one month vacation is too much? I don’t think so.
