I just got to know that my file will be transferred to Scarborough and am curious if Scarborough is one of the fast ones or slower ones? Whats your experience recently with this office?

SCR is on the better side of processing time compared to the western IRCC offices

My file has been sitting in Sydney (single/ paper) for weeks. Is there anything I can do to get it transferred to Scarborough soon as the agent said it will be transferred to Scarborough but she does not know when

Unless you have an urgent request raised with IRCC, there is nothing you can do from your end.
When did you send your paper app to Sydney and when did you get your AoR?
2021 Paper applicants at SCR has an average processing time of 12 months and 2021 online applicants with 14 months.

Got an email this morning telling me I have to appear for an "In Person" interview at the scarborough office at 11:45AM on August 23rd. Passed my test 5 months ago (19/20). Anyone heard of this in person interview before?

I am still waiting, my Oath ceremony is scheduled on aug 12th, Dont have any Idea , how to proceed further, the toll free number no one picks up, it states high number of calls, email still not received about location or zoom meeting? It would be really appreciated.

Because of travel outside of Canada from 18 Sep onwards., I would like to ask the forum members, cpl of questions...

1… Can I request for rescheduling the oath ceremony to an earlier date ? Is this accepted, if I have valid reasons (travel bookings etc.)
2.....If not, then I have to request for expedite citizenship certificate… if they accept the this request how much time does one get the certificate in ?

Fastest certificates I've seen on this forum is 3-4 days, and all those were from SCR.

Sep 13 to Sep 18 is too tight IMO. I'd email the SCR office to enquire about it, and I'd cancel the travel plans if the enquiry is not approved.

I have watched a couple of recent citizenship ceremonies on YouTube and in one of them the clerk/official asked someone if he has any travel plans before asking them to cut his PR card. The clerk/official also mentioned that she would not want him to be stuck while returning to Canada. Not sure how this works.

I got the reply from SCR just now, they cannot reschedule the ceremony earlier.
So I will change my travel plans instead.

Hello, sorry for reposting but I didn’t get any responses yet. My mothers citizenship test got invalidated due to technical reasons and she’s been waiting for 3 months.

Did anyone recently get retest via Msteams from Scarborough office after the first test getting invalidated due to technical issues ? If yes, when did you complete your first test and how long did it take for them to reschedule for the Msteams test. Appreciate all responses.

You (your mom)need to send them email and inquire…..reply to same email that sent the test link.

I got same email for Aug 23. (my lots of friend too) one of them attend the interview yesterday. After 30 min interview he did OATH ceremony amd he got citizenship paper too.
