Hi everyone! Hope my message finds you well. We have applied for inland sponsorship in August 2023, after i received a removal order from CBSA which I didn’t attend to due to my wife pregnancy complications, they gave me a directive to the airport but I didn’t go because I was so scared something bad would happen to my wife. But then I keep communication with the CBSA officer through emails and calls. But she always wanted me to come in person and again I know if I go they will eventually remove me but I just play along and never attend to the meeting in person but recently CBSA went to my wife address looking for me but she told them she doesn’t know where I was and that we do communicate sometimes on the phone. The CBSA officer demanded her phone but she refused to give him and he asked my wife to check inside the house then my wife gave him a permission to check then he did search everywhere but nothing and he left. The CBSA kept telling my wife why she was sponsoring me. That she should cancel our sponsorship since we are now t leaving together then my wife told him that we do communicate that im only scared of CBSA that’s why I wasn’t there. He then threatened my wife he was going to cancel the sponsorship application, he sent me message that if I don’t meet him that he only wanted to talk and he will put a notes on our sponsorship. I already sent her our letter of SA and AOR, but I guess she just trying to separate me and my wife and our child. Fast forward, we got a letter from IRCC today that we should come for an interview in person and we should bring some documents: proof of cohabitation, joint bank accounts, previous and current address, insurance, proof of family support letters. So my question is would the CBSA arrested me there on the date of the interview?? Please anyone who have experienced this before?
You need to be working with a good lawyer at this point. It was a very bad idea to not attend the meetings with CBSA. These are not optional and you've made your situation much worse by not attending. Do not skip any further meetings with CBSA. You must attend in person. You also need to attend the meeting with IRCC. Get a lawyer asap.

Ok but I’ve tried they all saying I have to wait for spousal sponsorship to process or hear from IRCC but I think this interview is way to get me arrested but I don’t know what the plans might be

I don't think any of us here are going to be able to assist. You have very much complicated your situation by refusing to comply with CBSA's requests to appear. You need to go to all future meetings with CBSA and IRCC. There is no path forward with your spousal sponsorship application if you continue to ignore requests to appear.

There are certainly lawyers out there you can hire now for advice. Keep looking and make this a top priority.

You do realize you’re just making things worse for yourself ?

You do realize they keeps notes on your file ,everytime there’s an interaction with you ?

Your non compliance will just make your situation even worse

I’ve never departed from my wife and my kids that day I wasn’t home and my wife was scared to tell them I live there. Thank you for response and i believe God will help us!!
So she lied . Think the IRCC has more power than God in this situation.
As for Gods opinion on lying ? That’s up to him/her

She didn’t lie like I said she was scared and she did told them I’m with her and I know many people in her situation will do the same thing

Except when CBSA showed up and then she gave them the opportunity to question your spousal application! Good job at sabotaging your own application.

She lied and stated that you weren’t cohabitating anymore which could affect your sponsorship application. Your attempts to avoid CBSA is likely affecting your sponsorship application now. As already said you need a lawyer. Your case is extremely complicated you got married right after your asylum claim got refused and when that marriage failed you got into another relationship almost right away. This creates many red flags.

As someone who has worked in various departments, Federal & Provincial. One of the Ten Commandments in dealing with the Government, especially the Feds ?

Dont f’in play games with them . You will NOT come out as the winner. I did a time with the tax department.
You know what happens to people who don’t follow the rules ? Who think they are smarter ?
Frozen bank accounts, seizures , liens , garnishments, incarceration

You are playing with fire

She didn’t give them an opportunity but they were asking her and she was just scared seeing a gun with them and I know we learn every day and she didn’t know this will cause anything
