After submitting the documents, the system will find your biometric data because you have UCI. You will see the update information about the validation biometric data, then you can make the refund of the biometric fee on the website.

The best way now is submit the application by IRCC secure account, though I hate that system...

No of course. I did this many times. IRCC will refund you the biometrics fee after the application is complete.

Yes, because in your new application you enter the UCI (the number of your UCI you can find on your previous visa on the last line next to "FPC" or in the biometric letter when you received it last time. The system will make the update after 24 hours and you will see your biometric data. Then you can make the refund 85CAN$ on website

Please has anyone try this? Because it sounds simple. In requesting for refund, you provide your bank details or the transaction will be reversed to where it came from ?
