IRCC asked Proof of residency and now medical

Hi guys,
As you know, I had hard time about my application because I filed my spouse sponsorship while I was outside Canada, and I was away for 7 months during my sponsorship.
I am permanent resident, Which I am supposed to be in Canada during sponsorship. IRCC asked me proof of residencies during sponsorship.
I send all of the documents two weeks ago and explain the reasons why I was stuck outside Canada.
Today we got medical exam request.
Does it mean the explanation and documents worked or medical is not a big deal , they can ask anytime?

Did the ECaS change for you compared to before you got the request from IRCC.. I think it stays on ‘in process’ and is supposed to go to ‘decision made’ when you are approved or denied !!

In E-cas it still says IN PROCESS as before. It says we send you medical instructions.

I was referring to the Sponsorship Application Status in ECAS. There should be two sections for your spousal application - Sponsorship Application Status and Permanent Residence Application Status.

It says:

Sponsorship Application Status: Decision Made

Permanent Residence Application Status: In process

You should soon receive an email about the decision saying its either approved/denied. However, if your PA got medical request, very high chances that your sponsorship application was approved. You can always call them and ask too.
