Proof of name Change(For example photocopy or marriage Certificate).
Required Only if your current name is different from the name on your educational documents.

What do you think would they consider Abbas Raza(Name on degree) a different name from Syed Abbas Raza(Name on CNIC) or a subset of it.
And did you mention about the enclosed affedivate in additional information of check list or anywhere else?

"Thank you for applying to the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) for an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) for immigration purposes. This is to confirm that your application was received by the IQAS office. Once the academic documents you requested from your institution arrive in our office we will send you a second email and your file will be placed in line for processing. Our current processing times are posted on the IQAS website: www.work.alberta.ca/iqas"

however, I'm quite positive all my certificates reached IQAS last week

I have sent sample affidavit on your email ID.

That field in the checklist is again for those who have changed their name officially like women do here after marriage so leave that too.

Once your provide affidavit they wil be sure that "Syed Abbas Raza" and "Abbas Raza" is same person and they will write the passport name on your ECA certificate. I did a mistake and they wrote my name as "ZAIDI, John Doe" although they said they will write my passport name-in my passport my name is "Syed John Doe Zaidi"- It is because when I was submitting my application to IQAS before the payment, I did not include "Syed".

Yes, I did mention in "Additional information" section on checklist that i have enclosed my affidavit but I forgot to tell them what name should be on certificate therefore I would recommend you to mention about your situation and the affidavit with which name you want on your ECA certificate. Feel free to ask if there is still any confusion.

Did you send your sealed envelopes with your application or will they be delivered from your university?

it will be delivered by my uni. but I'm quite positive it would have reached them as the certificates were posted from UK 2 weeks back

Wait some days. They were off on last Friday and Monday and opened their office yesterday. You should get an email soon

All my post secondary degrees and transcripts are already verified from universities. Is there anybody who has done masters from Punjab University Lahore because I need to know the exact procedure of send documents to IQAS from Punjab University.

One more thing, My MPhil is from another university. I have received my transcript but still waiting for the degree. can i just send my transcript for evaluation or degree is must?

To my understanding you only need to get your transcript verified and sealed in an envelop. But when it comes to sending documents to IQAS, you need to send the envelop mentioned + a copy of transcripit + a copy of degree.

If you look at the IQAS-ECA-Checklist.pdf it has three things under Post-Secondary acadameci documents inculuded:
1. Photocopy of the Degree ...
2. Photocopy of the transcript
3. Transcripts(mark sheet ..) issued by

3 is the envelop i have mentioned above.

ps: this is only the docuents related to degree the the documents related to ID mentioned in first part of check list are also required.

Can anyone confirm how much time IQAS is taking nowadays after receiving the application?
I am going to get my wife's ECA done in the next week or so. She had done her MBA from UCP Lahore. Do we need to go through HEC attestation first and then send to IQAS?

And what documents exactly we need to send? Degree, transcripts, what else? Should it be verified copies in sealed envelop by universities or can we send it by ourself?

Hi dear! I'm running into an issue.

1. In the transcript request form / release of academic records.. there is field for first and last name of official completing the form (please print). My university is only writing the designation of the person.. and they are handwriting it. Not "printing" i.e. not typed.. Is that okay?

2. In "Degree awarded", should the name of the degree be written or date awarded?

3. In "Program length" .. is 4 years written (which is duration) or the start to end dates.. my university wrote start to end date.

Can you please guide and what you wrote.. would the above create any issues.
