iPhone SMS Export - I found an app that works great

I just found this App yesterday. Our VO wants more info so I needed to get our actual transcripts from our text messages.

This app worked perfectly. I followed the very simple instructions and was able to download over 11,000 messages from my iPhone. You can dump them to html, csv and txt.

I dumped to csv and uploaded to my google docs to sort and take the really dirty messages out. CSV to an Excel spreadsheet didn't work for me. But my Excel is old and nasty so that may have been the reason.

The messages are date stamped and match up with our telephone bills.

We now have 230 pages of proof of our relationship. Can hardly wait to cover it, bind it and stick it somewhere.

NOTE: I have nothing to do with this software other than being a thrilled customer but it is bar none the best $4.99 I ever spent on iTunes.

I would first look for an app. I found a reference to SMS backup+ for Android.

I have never used an Android phone so am not familiar with the apps and how well they work.

you mean there are still other phones in the world NOT using Droid? Shocking to me haha... as it is so far and away the most popular OS for phones worldwide.. I have been using a Droid phone since the first release and would never dream of using anything else.. there are tons of apps that can export SMS msgs.. simply go to the marketplace and search for sms export or sms back up.. etc... a few links to get you started

Remember being Open Source development on droid apps happen at a much faster rate than closed systems and with the state of phone OS in the world right now it is easy to get someone to code something just for you if you want it. I've had a few apps coded for my own use for very little money.
