Hey guys, I received invitation to pre arrival email on my gc account on march 18 and just before that I had 4 lines added to ecas- last line was about correspondence (which was already submitted). My ecas still says in process, even after receiving pre arrival and 4 lines on ecas. What does this mean? Will I be getting dm/ppr soon? Have people got ppr without their ecas being updated to dm? please help.

Normal, should be coming soon.

thank you for the hope. it's just that some people are getting dm and ppr without any pre arrival or updates to ecas. and some people got pre arrival after me but got dm or ppr. just isn't making sense. is the "dm" update to ecas necessary to be getting ppr in your opinion?

There are a few ppl in the NDVO group who have received ppr first then DM and pre arrival.
So be positive it can be anytime soon for you!!
Do you mind sharing which month applicant are you?

yea i saw that few people got ppr without any updates. few people got everything on the same day. Mine has been stuck "in process" even after getting pre arrival 6 days back and 4 lines on ecas, also 6 days back.

Getting pre arrival means your eligibility is done...Maybe you’re stuck at criminal report or BGC report..I think you should wait till Monday.
Btw your AOR2 is Aug 2nd or July 25th?

We never got pre arrival or PPR. Varies.

No, landed last year (visa exempt country)
Does not happen often, but the point is, the process and timelines tend to vary from application to application
ok my visa office is new delhi and its just weird seeing people getting similar updates as u but being stuck "in process". and people getting same updates moving faster than u. anyway each application is different i get that- just one question u seem to be knowledgeable- if they were missing any documents (say pcc or schedule a- somehow it didnt get attached as it was mailed *hypothetically*), would they have sent another correspondence by now?

When they request additional documents they assign a "bring forward date" to the application. Once that date comes, they will examine the file to see if requested documents have been submitted. If they have not been received at that time, they should notify/request again.
