Hi guys,

I received a message saying Ontario is considering me for a nomination through ee and I have several questions. Please can someone help me.

1. Does everyone with a score above 400 and a bachelor or master degree get this message? How common is it to receive this message?
2. How probably it is to actually get the nomination after payin $1500? How likely it is to pay and not get anything?

3. What are the processing times for the pnp application review?

4. If i apply for ontario pnp will my profile still be open in the pool and what if i receive an ITA while in the ontario pnp process? Cause my score is 464. Does it make sense to wait for a couple of draws to see if I get an ITA?

I would appriciate if someone could help me out wih this.

There's a good chance you'll get an ITA with a score of 464 before you get your nomination if you apply to OINP. I estimate their processing time to be about 5-6 months right now, including their downtime in Dec-Jan. So save your $1500. :)

It's not too common to get this message these days, so you are lucky. Many people would be envious. Ironically, you don't need it at all.

Thanks bellaluna for the answer.
And do you know whether the application for oinp and supporting docs need to be sent via postal service or by uploading?

With a score of 464, do the sub-450 crowd a favor and ignore/decline the invitation. You will get a 'regular' ITA shortly. This ignored/lapsed/declined invitation will be useful to someone who wouldn't get an ITA in the usual course of events.

All the best!

Thank you Asivad for advice.
I too hope to get an ITA in coming draws and avoid the $1500 nonref fee.

But I was wondering does it happen often that you apply for provintial nomination after receiving the invite and eventually get rejected?

The province can certainly refuse your application if it fails eligibility requirements for their particular program. But that's the case with CIC as well. So applying for PN isn't better or worse than applying to CIC with a regular ITA.
