Hi Aman,

The key point is for your mother to prove Strong Ties to India.... an Affadavit of Income will not work. For a TRV, the applicant's documents must be very strong as compared to the documents of the person inviting her.

My suggestion would be to show the following (partial list - as each case is different):
a. Income Tax Returns (ITR) for the last 3 years

b. Proof of Self-employment (whatever is applicable): Shop Act License, Service Tax Registration, VAT Registration, Bank Statements of her business for the last 6 months or so, customer payment stubs, customer Purchase Orders, Balance Sheet of her business (showing Assets, Liabilities, Profit-Loss), etc

c. Financial Investments: Fixed Deposits, Shares/Stocks, Mutual Funds, PPF (if investments are being made there even as self-employed), NSC Certificates, etc

d. Property Papers: Property owned by your mother (translated into English, if required), Annual Property Tax receipts, etc

e. Family Ties: Table format of Immediate Family members whom your mother resides with in India, Extended Family (broad details), etc

You must address the reasons for previous refusals in a Covering Letter very clearly. This Covering Letter is sort of a synopsis of your mother's TRV application.

Btw what were the reasons for refusal?

Hope this helps. All the best :)

Thanks bryanna
The reason was that you did not provided proper documentation for your host income assets

Hi Aman,

Even though the reason for previous refusals was host income documents, do submit as many documentary evidence to show your mother's strong ties to India.

What documents would you be submitting from your side?

If your husband who is a WP is inviting then he should provide details/proofs of his income (NOA, Pay Stubs, T4, etc), employment documents, residence status, etc

Also the Invitation Letter will be from your husband
