The letter for invitation to write the test says to bring all your original documents that support your citizenship application (as listed in the document checklist in the citizenship application form).

Should I also bring? 2 identical citizenship photographs

PR recently expired and re-applied. Website says it takes 2 - 3 months and test is in June (re-applied middle of April). Will this be an issue if I just take expired PR card and explain I am waiting for renewal?

Yes take 2 photo IDs. No issue with expired PR card.

They need the same pictures?! They only asked for two. If they need two more then I'm not sure if I can go back & ask the studio for a copy that was taken last Feb.

For citizenship test/interview, you need to carry 2 pieces of ID . You are not required to carry 2 citizenship photographs for the test/interview unless specifically mentioned on test/interview invitation letter.
You can show your expired PR card during interview and also receipt for renewal of PR card.
You must have received a paper stating what to bring during the test.
Examples would be: all passports held in relevant 4 years, PR card, translation of stamps, originals of documents (whose copies were submitted along with the citizenship application), 2 pieces of ID etc.

Please see following link:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/citizenship/become-eligibility.asp

It states:
You do not need to have a PR card to apply for citizenship. If you have a PR card, but it is expired, you can still apply for citizenship.

Hi Hopeful One,

Did your letter is attached with a page saying "Prohibition under the Citizenship Act", just want to check if everyone has this extra page attached or only those have some Charges or those with cases in the court.

Yes I got the Prohibitions Under the Citizenship Act letter too but have never committed a crime...not even a speeding ticket. It is probably a standard form that everyone must sign.

I got Citizenship test invite today for 3-june-2015. but there is no Prohibitions Letter

Thanks a lot, to reply your query: you do not need to carry any photograph any more, just two peices of ID.

Good Luck

I just got my test invitation a few days ago 3 pages
In afew days going to write the test

And wish everyone good luck with test and interview
