I understand that one can meet the $400,000 requirement by requesting some funding from the bank. Typically, I believe this is $280,000 from the bank, and $120,000 from the individual, which makes a total of $400,000. I know that the $120,000 is not given back to the individual, but rather, used by the bank to cover the interest.
My question relates to the commission that the lawyer/representative gets in this scenario. How does that work? Are banks giving the representative a cut of the $120,000?
Also, is that the typical ratio? 280/120? Or can it be something like 300/100, or 350/50?
Thanks
