Hi there
I would like to ask about the process of renouncing permanent resident status. I have acquired my PR status in August 2017, but would need to renounce it for personal reasons. I would like to enter EE again. Since I didn't have my PR card I have applied for a Permanent Resident Travel Document in November. The document checklist states a copy of passport among the required documents, so I don't know how to go about
permanent resident travel document counterfoil in my passport. Do I need to detach it from the passport and send it along with my application, or do I only need to mention the PRTD document nr in my application in order for the PRTD document be invalidated?
Thank you

Since you just got PR, why on earth would you want to renounce it and immediately apply again under EE?

You could even live outside Canada now up to Aug 2020, and still be able to keep your current PR status.

Sounds like OP forgot to include their spouse in the PR application and landed as Single

Would be probably easier to just sponsor. If your wife is able to get a TRV she could stay in Canada with you but can't work. Would imagine there won't be a huge time difference between the two. Maybe a couple of months.
