Hello Experts,

Is there any one have recently ICT WP for Canada rejected applied in India ?

Mine was rejected stating - Officer not satisfied for "Specialized Knowledge" for WP application.

What Role did you apply? Is it through your company or consultancy?

You need to provide a "Specialized Knowledge" document along with the application to prove you have additional knowledge to work on the project which others don't have in market

I would think that your employer knows the best what would go through CIC. so very surprised that yours got rejected on ICT. It depends on a big way on the project that you would be assigned to, the reason the company is stating for bringing you in Canada and ofcourse how specialized your skill is. Looks like the destination company attorney did not place you as the show stopper consultant when they submitted your application. Find out all these details from your home country travel department. you have very little to do here. All of us who are/were ICT am sure would agree with me.

Rules changed for ICTs in 2014. Read here -

Hi,

I just got my work permit approved through the intra-company transfer provision to move to my company's subsidiary firm based in Canada from Italy. We have our factory based in Italy only so I guess the specialized knowledge criteria was met due to a valid experience of 2 years with the HQ and factory office.
I had presented just my experience certificate and pay slips during the time period as proof of my expertise in addition to the letter and job offer details from new employer.

I guess if the position you have applied for could be filled in by a Canadian citizen or a resident, then intra-company transfer may not work out and you may have to apply for one of the other provisions for a proper work visa involving Labour Market Impact Assesment (LMIA)
