Hi,
I had submitted the application in canada in October- 2011, then it was showing that application received. In december it started showing Decision made. Then we were requested to send passport, landing fees and other documents in Feb, 2012, we sent it. Then we did not hear anything from Delhi since last week. Now we have interview on 1st August.

hey cashbox dun worry abt the interview jus prepare ur self well and be urself it is recommended not to behave wat ur not and over professional....and as far as u want to knw how was our interviews we hv already posted few pages back so i wud suggest go thru this forum from the first page u might see some other experiences of interviews wich can be really useful so be calm and composed good luck !

Seems like we both have the same date for interview. Mine is also on 11th of next month. I dont know this time i will be lucky after waiting for a long 2yrs time. :-X

They are asking the same usual documents asked for you. Like form16, pf and all.. time is 11am. Anyway for me coming to Delhi is like wasting my 10days for travelling up and down.. so i haven't decided what to do.. :

but i don't get any form 16,pf pay slip etc..ours was a proprietary firm they pay cash as salary and get a voucher signed More over unfortunately i have resigned from the firm few moths after applying for migration. what to do?

Somewhat similar situation here. My firm didt paid my PF and all till now. I guess its all screwed up now. Thats why im thinking whether to travel such a long distance for nothing...

hi Pinder sorry to hear about your interview but i think something is better than nothing, i mean interview is better than waiting for a unknown time.
you will get a chance to convince them in person and i hope your husband will receive his PR soon after interview. please share your story with us so we can help you regarding important docs to take in interview and expected questions asked by Interviewer.
as you said before that you are coming to India next month, you should attend interview together to make a strong impression.

I will be landing on 26th in ND and will be staying in hotel there as our interview is on the 29th @ 930...
My husband (applicant) has a travel history for two years in England on a work permit....First marriage for both of us....He is 29 and I am 28....My whole family from Canada so my parents my two brothers and my sister and brother-in-law and my two little neices all went to India for full three months. I have strong documents like emails and phone call bills before wedding and after wedding. I just dont understand why are they calling us for an interview unless we made a mistake on our forms which I will look into....otherwise nothing major that jumps out at me....I am really not worried as it is a genuine relationship but only want an answer why me??

ok thats good, it looks like they are calling your husband just to confirm something and there is no need to get worried about your case. Interview is very common in case of Travel history and love marriage and they call only genuine couples for interview because fraud cases prepare there applications very carefully and provide so many fake supporting docs that VO will never be able to catch them. Visa officers think that they are very smart and experienced but in reality they are useless.
ask your husband to get ready with all supporting docs, wedding album including all photos showing rituals of the ceremony, Chat/email history, original marriage certificate and go through your application forms again and again before you go for interview.
im sure you will do very well
