Dear All,

How do we come to know that in our case interview has been requested or it is waived. Is it listed on the ecas or do we get any additional document for the same from the embassy.

Thanks

I thought it might be helpful to let you know that not everyone is told if the interview is going to be waived or not. In my husband's case (outland through Buffalo), no interview was required. However we were never notified. His case went straight from "in process" to "passport request" with no notification in between.

im not sure ecas change to interview waived but they notifiy your either by e mail or regular mail depends on the embassy ... some of the people interviewed by my embassy had a phone call at the land line of their homes and they got the official letter when they arrived at the embassy...
is not aways waived depends if the embassy need more information about your relationship and future plans.

We also applied outland through Buffalo and in the AOR letter from them it stated something about an interview not appearing to be necessary at that point. It was in the form letter they sent us.
