INTERVIEW WAIVED AND MEDICAL REQUESTED

HI,
UPDATED DOC WERE SUMMITED ON 28TH JULY'08 TODAY THE CONSULTANT INFORMED ME ABOUT THE LETTER RECEIVED FROM CIC INFORMING THAT MY INTERVIEW HAS BEEN WAIVED AND REQUESTED THE MEDICALS IN NEXT 90 DAYS.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE AFTER SUMMITING THE MEDICALS TO GET A VISA AND FOR HOW LONG NORMALLY THE VISA WILL BE VALID FOR.

It takes 3-4 months after medicals. The visa will be valid till one year from the date you do your medicals. So after you get your visa you might have 6-7 months to land.

Another query i have paid the initial immigration fee already do i still need to pay some other fee like landing etc?

Yes, you have to pay the right of landing fee before the visa is issued

If the CHC already had asked for Right of Landing Fee $490 to be submitted with medicals, does it mean visa Gauarenteed?

As you said the visa is valid for one year but the one year start from the date your passport has stamped not the one after medicals becasue after medicals if you recived your passport 6 months then what happen I think so that one year start from the date of visa stamp on your passport.

The visa is valid for one year from the date you did your medicals and not one year from the date the visa is issued.

For example, if you did your medicals in Jan 2008, and you get your visa in June 2008, the visa will be valid till Jan 2009.

Thanks gjp, gives me hope. It has been two months since I had my medicals done but still no further news from CHC. However, last week my online changed to medical results have been received.

It is strange so if medicals done in jan 2008 and they ask passport for visa stamping in april 2008 and you have your passport in aug 08 so you have 4 -5 months in your hand .

and the date you have done your medical that count down start from that date or the date they send you a letter that you have submit your medicals in 90 days.
