Class FSW Outland
Medicals have been passed
Background check status: Not Started

Please have a look at my situation as I have been invited for an interview with CIC in London and have been requested to provide the following documents

1. Updated Schedule A Background/ Declaration forms for the principal applicant and spouse. Please note you will need to provide information as of the month/year you turned 18 with no gaps in personal history or address dates. I will be able to easily provide this

2. UK bank statements for the last 6 months. I made my application using a Nigerian bank statement, with sufficient balance in it. My bank statement was dated 05 Nov 2015 and I applied on 06 Nov. I can provide a Uk bank statement with insufficient balance as I have been out of work for the past 6 months. Since my application on 06 Nov, I have used some of the money in my Nigerian bank account. My question is do I go for the interview with my latest Uk bank account supported with the bank statement I applied with?

3. An official document printed on company letterhead stating that you, in whose name the letter is printed, will be employed in Canada for a specified period of time by that company. It must list your name and the details of your employment in Canada.This is to be completed for all positions held in the UK. I do not understand why they have requested this as I have not applied under CEC class but under FSW outland[/color]

You should go with your UK bank statement because they asked for it. Since there is insufficient balance in your UK bank account, also take the Nigerian bank statement with you. It's best to have a sufficient balance in your Nigerian bank account. As long as the bank accounts are in your name, with a sufficient balance in either one or both of them, you should be fine.
As for the official document stating what you will be doing in Canada, did you make your application based on a job offer from an employer in Canada? If yes, you'd have to provide evidence of that whether you are CEC, PNP or FSW.

They may want to know why you are using Nigerian bank statement since you are resident in UK.
Just go with both statements and any supporting evidence with good explanations. If you have additional ldocs for PoF not in original application, you can go with them as well.

[If possible, beef up the Nigerian bank account to ensure you comply with minimum requirements then get fresh bank statements showing your 6 months banking history. Also go along with a copy of your UK bank statement and be prepared to explain why you have insufficient funds in that (due to current unemployment staus). I think they found it weird that you showed a Nigerian bank account instead of a UK account as you are currently residing in the UK. [color]

If you didn't, then all you need to do is to explain that to them. You can print out your express entry profile to take with you just in case.[/color][/color]

Hi Kitua85,
You should go with your UK bank statement because they asked for it. Since there is insufficient balance in your UK bank account, also take the Nigerian bank statement with you. Just before you go try to make up the balance in your nigerian bank account or uk bank account so you won't leave any doubt as to you not having enough funds but incase it's a huge sudden transfer prepare a strong LOE for it too.
