Hey guys....

I have applied to sponsor my husband back in dec 2013. Singapore sent us a mail on aprill 2014 saying that they want to interview us and the waiting time is 24 months. Its been over a year and half but they still havent sent us an interview date.
Has this happened to anyone ? I think they forgot about our file lol is there anyway i can get in touch with them ?

Send a case specific inquiry or an email. They must be having backlog in that VO. You can also order GCMS notes as well. It will give you a better look on what is going on with your file.

I have not received any correspondence for interview yet although posted processing period of 27 months already elapsed. So I also sent a case specific inquiry recently. You should send the same. Did you try for a TRV?

I received the same letter from Singapore around the same time last year and successfully contested it. I did this by sending CIC the information that they told us to bring to the interview, plus some additional evidence based on the red flags on our ATIP notes. I sent them this and a cover letter requesting them to consider waiving the interview based on the additional evidence provided. The interview was waived in June 2014.

can you please state what was the VO concern at the beginning if you dont mind

I just got an email today with the interview date on january 31st..... they asked to bring proof of relationships..... but the saddest part is we hardly have any chat logs or phone calls we made over viber... cause everytime we got mad at each other we deactivated it and now we hardly have anything except pictures .....

I think they think that our marriege is fake cause we said our parents didnt agree so we secretly got married so they wrote a line on the notes saying if u guys got married secretly how come you guys have wedding pics up on facebook.... and the other thing was my husband proposed me only after 10 days of knowing me ......

do you know what they might ask my husband at the interview ?

Sure. The letter requested us to bring the following to the interview, which was pretty easy to send online using the website they gave us in the SA letter:

✓ No Objection letter from father of child (stepdaughter);

✓ Proof of financial remittances from spouse

✓ Proof of ongoing communication since June 2014

I also had the ATIP notes, which stated that the VO was suspicious that my wife was still in a relationship with her daughter's father. Having re-checked the forms that I submitted, I did notice that the number of months that they lived together previously versus what was said in one of the supporting documents didn't match (like 2 or 3 months or something). Anyways I assumed this may have caused some suspicion. So, I sent CIC a clarification and apologized for the error. The letter I sent them requested that they waive the interview based on the evidence provided.

I guess our interview would have been pretty straightforward had I not made the mistake on the forms and submitted the letter of no objection at the beginning. However, I would urge people to try and at least waive the interview because it may have just have been triggered by the smallest mistake or omission.

Can you please tell me how long it took you to get the interview date from the first time you got the letter saying you are on interview list? it will be a big help for me. We got our letter on april 2014 and we got our date on jan 31st 2016
