Hey guys, my wife has her interview coming up here in Toronto this week and I'm a bit nervous as to what expect.

She recently got the following message:
We are pleased to advise you that processing of your application has been completed. The
Canada Immigration Centre in Etobicoke will contact you to arrange an appointment for the
finalization of your permanent resident application.

And then she got this:
We are pleased to inform you that the processing of your application for permanent residence will be finalized at an interview that is scheduled for X:XX PM on XXX, 2018. Your interview will be conducted at...

We both got Decision Made, me as a sponsor and her as spouse.

I've heard people say, including a friend who recently finalized his sponsorship process with his wife, that when your interview email has he wording exactly like the one my wife got the interview is pretty basic, just formalities not necessarily asking questions about the relationship. Meaning it's not an interview to ensure the relationship is real.

Apparently there's another sort of email interview email which flags that your interview is going to contain questions and the actual decision upon your sponsorship process will be made after the interview, followed by questions about the relationship.

Do you guys know anything about this? I'm a bit nervous cause my wife is not 100% fluent in english just yet... She works here in Canada and all, but she's not too confident when talking about specific subjects.

Any thoughts? I appreciate the help!

The other sort of interview you are referring to usually asks for a list of documents to bring ( usually relationship proof) Does your email have that? If not I suspect yours is an inland application and the interview is just your landing interview.

Hi

This is her landing appointment, not a real interview. The will confirm the info on her COPR, maybe ask a few basic questions, and then she will become a PR.

We got a letter scheduling an interview, but never received a message saying "the processing of your application has been completed." We did both receive AIP letters (though MyCIC still says they are reviewing eligibility). Is that normal? I've noticed that things often occur out of order...
