I WAS SHORT OF 180 DAYS WHEN I APPLIED FOR PRC RENEWAL IN FIRST 5 YEARS TIME
NOW I HAVE RECEIVED A LETTER FROM CIC ASKING TO APPEAR FOR INTERVIEW AND TO SUBMIT ANY DOCUMENTATION WHICH INDICATE THAT THERE ARE HUMANITARIAN CONSIDERATIONS THAT WOULD JUSTIFY THE RETENTION OF MY PR STATUS AND OVERCOME THE BREACH OF RESIDENCY OBLIGATION

IT WAS ALSO MENTIONED IF YOU DID NOT APPEAR FOR INTERVIEW YOUR CASE WILL BE ABANDONED AND YOU WILL HAVE TO RE-APPLY FOR PRC

PL ADVISE NORMALLY WHAT HAPPENS IN SUCH INTERVIEWS , DO THEY GIVE PRC IMMEDIATELY IF SATISFIED OR REFER THE CASE TO COURT?

OR IS IT MORE SAFE THAT I DONT APPEAR FOR INTERVIEW AND COMPLETE THE DAYS AND THEN APPLY FOR PRC RENEWAL AGAIN AFTER 1YEAR WHEN MY DAY COUNT WOULD BE EQUAL TO 730 IN LAST 5 YEARS.WILL MY NEW APPLICATION BE AFFECTED BY PREVIOUS ONE?

I AM A STUDENT ENROLLED IN 4 YEARS PROGRAM IN CANADIAN UNIVERSITY,CURRENTLY IN SECOND YEAR.

1. Too late, you have already been caught. If there are no H.& C. grounds, then you will be referred to an admissibility hearing. If you don't appear for the interview, you have sealed your fate, and you will be referred to an inadmissibility hearing.

Its not that i have been caught by CIC, i myself showed my days short in the PRC renewal application as they were due to some reasons.I just thave to justify the less day count now.

is it still bad and late??

Is next step definitely a hearing??

As PMM said, unless you can prove Humanitarian and Compassionate grounds for not having met the residency requirements, you will move to a hearing.

i have also been asked for interview but they are asking me to show the number of days physically absent preceeding last five years. will the officer consider the five years before intreview or he will consider five years preceeding to he date intial application for renewal.
