UAE ID is secondary document; even I didn't submit it with my initial application, just my work permit. I really don't think so that you need to update it. You may provide it during your interview stage.
By the way, I updated my application by submitting reference letter from previous employer, birth certificates of myself & my wife, updated travel info form, change of address request and couple of written explanations. I sent these documents thourhg courier. In second update, I submitted a written explanation through web form to explain why I didn't submit the updated Schedule A - Background Declaration form along with the change of address request. I just wanted to make sure that VO doesn't ask me to submit updated Schedule A - Background Declaration form when he/she finds change of address request; thus delay could be avoided.
We can just try from our side what we can; rest is Almighty Allah's will.
