Hello everyone,

I have applied to my spouse visa, now she got an interview call. I am an international student studying in Canada.

I had a court marriage after my engagement and exchange of flower garlands. we have very few pics of that, and only her parents' uncle aunty and my brother and sister-in-law are present (my parents are not there for that ceremony). I had this marriage mainly for the visa purpose I have a plan to get married traditionally after 3 months. We don't have a lot of chat history because it was a arrange marriage and we are not familiar with each other.

Now, major questions I am worried about is
1) Why my parents are not present in the marriage?
2) why we did not have a traditional marriage?
3) why we do not have any chat history?

I think i mostly likely get a refusal with all these open questions but i am mainly worried they might suspect it a fake marriage and put some remarks in my file or may be hold my wife to come to Canada for some years (previously a guy got banned for 5 years).

I am really stressed out with all these things. I would really appreciate it if I can get some suggestions here.
I thank you in advance for anyone who spends his/her time to give me a suggestion.
Thankyou

Hi, how long your relationship before marriage? did you visit after that? how many times? after the wedding did you have any reception or gathering where your parents and relatives have attended? do you have any joint bank account or trip together?

She is my friend's sister. So, I know her since 2008 but I have met her only 3-4 times. we visited Tajmahal in 2008 I have those pictures, which included in the visa. We did not have any receptions and i did not visit her after marriage. Yes, we have a joint account together and she also has my name in her passport.

At her home on April 20, 2019 with 9 members total present. It was just a ring and garland exchange following registration at the court. I applied for visa in November 2019.

iRCC will know that this was a marriage for visa only and you will get denied. There is no way both sets of parents would not be at a true marriage ceremony. Also very uncommon for an arranged marriage to have such a small and simple marriage with not a lot of pictures and various ceremonies. You should have waited until you did the actual marriage.

I regret now for making this foolish decision. I don't mind if the visa is rejected but i am afraid they do not do much damage to my profile. So, that i may not be able to apply again.
