Interview AFTER medicals request?

Yes, in the new fast track it is highly unusual to get interview call after medicals.

Any speculations as to why we were called for an interview? I mean, the mere fact that they sent meds request means that our papers have passed their assessment right? Any other possible reasons for this? Anyone?

Hi,

My understanding from various immigration discusions is that, interviews are usually not scheduled after the medical. But any thing can take place till they make a final decision on a case. Perhaps there can be a question related to job experience or possibly related to security check. To find out the exact reason you have to see your CAIPS. But there is no time left for ordering CAIPS at this later stage and don't think about it.

So, nothing to worry and not get tensed !!. Just appear for the interview. The questions can be very simple.

I am in the same boat here CIC London has scheduled me for an interview

The contact has been done by e-mail. I have been asked to bring to the interview the following:

• A new Application for Permanent Residence IMM0008 form.
• Updated Schedule 1 Background/Declaration forms for you and each of your dependents over the age of 18.
• secondary and/or higher secondary school diploma;
• post-secondary credentials and corresponding marks sheets for each year of study for each
credential.
• A letter from my current employer
• current employment contract and payslips from the past 3 months;
• Proof of funds
• Bank statements covering the past 6 months for all bank accounts

My questions are

1- Is it a standard practice to ask for all these documents in the interview ?

2- They sent two documents one in PDF and the other in a word perfect and could not view the later Is there a way for that? Is it the same with you trinatocanada? Please tell us.

3- What is the best way of showing proof of funds? Can bank statements for me and my spouse for the past 6 months be enough?

4- For the confirmation can I just send an e-mail reply to London confirming that I will attend the interview?

5- I have already sent pay slips and current employment contract to London why they are asking me to submit them again ?

6- How can I get the new Application for Permanent Residence IMM0008 form as the link they provided in the letter is broken

I received the interview schedule with list of documents in PDF and second is an authorization letter for my consultant also in PDF

3- What is the best way of showing proof of funds? Can bank statements for me and my spouse for the past 6 months be enough? Bank statements that are current is the best because it means that you have current liquid funds in the bank.

4- For the confirmation can I just send an e-mail reply to London confirming that I will attend the interview? You must send them the interview confirmation form by fax to (+44) 207 258 6506 or email it to london-im-interview@international.gc.ca

5- I have already sent pay slips and current employment contract to London why they are asking me to submit them again ? This is a question that I also ask myself. I guess we'll just find out when we get to the interview

Its clearly showing that theve put stress on the following things and you must not give less stress on providing them with the stuffs :

They radomly call people in interviews, I have seen interviews are relatively easier and they give you ample amount of time to answer the questions and if you want more time to provide them with any paper during the interview, they set up another date for that.

They want these things to make sure, that you have current fund which must be unencumbered, your salary record-- if youre asked anything that is tough to answer, just reply that salary matters are solely dealt by your HR and Accounts department- they know better, and you need to ask them about the asked issue.
