Internship experience outside of Canada

Hi, I qualify under CEC, I have one year of full time work in Canada after I graduated and currently working here.

My question is: Can I claim points for skilled work done outside canada even if it's an internship? For elegbility purposes they won't accept internships but the CRS system doesn't seem to bother for internships that were taken outside of Canada.

The only time an internship would not be accepted is (a) if it was unpaid, or (b) if it was done in Canada while on a study permit.
