i just received an email today stating that i would receive my offer letter within three business days.
im from electronics and telecomm background, will that be a problem for visa? since networking comes under IT dept. and i dont want to get rejected stating that im from another background or so

In that case make ur SOP impeccable .... Explain clearly why u r taking tis course and also mention all course which u studied during b.tech pertaining to internetworking.

I am also from ECE and I don't think that it would be any problem because there are some networking subjects which are part of the course.
Apart from that SOP does plays an important role and it should be impeccable.
