I'm an international student here in Canada and I just finished my program but unfortunately I am not eligible to apply for a post graduation work permit because of the school. Are there any options that I can do to extend my stay and work here in Canada? I finished my program last Nov 6th and my visa expires on February 5 2016.

If you would like to work in Canada, you will need to find an employer who is willing to offer you a full time job. That employer will also need to obtain an approved LMIA. Once you have the job offer and approved LMIA, you can then apply for a closed work permit tied to that specific employer.

thank you so much for your response. Is it necessary that the job offer is related to the program I took? I finished the Medical Laboratory Assistant Program. I'm wondering if I can apply for a job that are is not in line with this field.

No - it doesn't have to be related to your program. It can be any job.

Note that it can take 4+ months for an employer to obtain an approved LMIA. So I would start looking for employers as soon as possible.

Omg. My visa expires on February next year. If my employer has a pending or an ongoing application of LMIA, can I still stay here even if my visa expires?

You'll be out of status if you stay past the expiry of your visa. If you are still waiting for an approved LMIA and your status is about to expire, you should apply to change your status to visitor so that you can remain in Canada legally.

Alright. Thank you for all the info. Seems like it's impossible for me to stay here in Canada.

What about taking another program at a school that does qualify for a PGWP?

Yes you could apply for a Program which is eligible for a PGWP. I would suggest you trying for a Univ in Quebec if u are interested in Masters. Its easy to get immigration in Quebec compared to other provinces.

i Refugee student visa of canada in 2 days after apply, they showed me three reasons,

1,You have not satisfied me that you would leave Canada at the end of your stay. In reaching this
decision, I considered several factors, including:

2,family ties in Canada and in country of residence
3,purpose of visit
4,employment prospects in country of residence
