No - just finishing school isn't enough to apply for PR. There are additional requirements you need to meet:

You should get a full time job with long term + employer support.
It's not too difficult to ask to support your immigration. Just ask to your boss after graduation.

Alberta international student category looks easy.. except for long processing time... It does not require an employer support..

So firstly, Only Master and PHD programs may get you a chance to directly apply for PR, Secondly MPNP has rules registered on their site.

Skilled labor class should include software programmer and engineers.
