International Student going to home country and coming back..do i need ETA/TRV?

Hi,

I am an international student from India. I have a student visa and student permit which is valid till 31st july 2017. If I go to India for few days during my Christmas break, do i need to apply for ETA or TRV for coming back in Canada ?

You should have a valid student permit AND TRV when when you re-enter to Canada.
So if both didn't expire it should be ok, you don't need to apply again.
Also, make sure that your TRV states that it allows multiple entries (i.e. not a single entry)

ETA is for TRV exempt countries, not for your country.
