International student at a private institution

Hello!
I’ been accepted to MH Vicars school of Massage Therapy in Edmonton. Since yesterday I wasn’t aware that my wife could not get an OWP because the institution isn’t public. I thought that it was at least authorized by provincial statute to confer degrees since I found it on the CIC web site and it is the first school to be recognized by the MTAA.
Even upon graduation I’m not eligible for a AGWP.
We have two children and our goal is to stay in Canada and open a clinic.
What are the chances of my wife getting an LMIA wile I’m studying (she is not a skilled worker) and what are the chances for me getting an LMIA or Express Entry upon graduation?
Or better to say, what are my options?
Anybody had or have the same issue?
Thank you!

The chances of securing an LMIA are extremely low - it's next to impossible to do. You should change your plans and attend a public institution so that you can qualify for a PGWP. Generally speaking, there's also a much lower chance your wife and children are going to be allowed to accompany you to Canada if you're attending a private institution.

Good day all,
Please i have a question. For someone that has 1year diploma admission to a private school that does not qualify for PGWP, will you advise the person to run another certification program that guarantees PGWP concurrently with this? What is the person's fate and how to go about it? Will one need to inform CIC of the New program and at what point? Or conclude both programs and file for PGWP with the certificate that guarantees PGWP? Kindly help urgently.

If you are planning on getting PGWP after your program, I would advise you drop the private school program and apply for a DLI that offers programs that qualify for PGWP. Taking that private school program will be a waste of time and money if you intend on working after your studies.

You can’t attend 2 programs at the same time if they are over 6 months long.

Thank you for your response. In a situation where one already has the student visa given on the private school, what would one advise?

Also bear in mind that half of the tuition has been paid. No refund except on grounds of visa refusal.

If you’re still outside Canada, you have to reapply unfortunately. But look at the long term benefit. You won’t get PGWP with your current college, so why even start?

Which school?

Best option is most likely to switch to a public college, even if you end up losing half of the private school tuition.

Please how can one go about this? Thank you for the response.
Which part?

You need to start by applying for a program at a public college and being accepted.

There is offer already and it has been accepted. Remaining to pay the deposit of 500dollars to secure the admission but confused on what next to do. Kindly advise as one is really confused. Was thinking of running both programs at the same time though this is not included in the visa. The course for the private institution is one year while this is two years. And afraid or worried it may be denied and affect the original visa, Thank you.

You can't do them in parallel.

The study permit you have right now only allows you to attend the private school.

You need to switch your study permit to the public school if you want this education to be recognized and qualify for a PGWP.

Forget about attending the private school. Stick with the public school program.

Thank you for the patience and explanation.
