international student application status is Submitted with no change .May u help

Dear All

I submitted my online application as international students since 17 March 2017 and for my family as a visitors. I received a request for Biometric for me and my wife which sent to CIC from 24th March. the status of the application has been changed to be submitted again after the Biometric sent. but till now no update on my application. so may you advice what can I do ? also I need someone explain to me what's the visa process status on the online application because I can not understand it?

Since u have applied online. You will be able to see many things as follows:
*Check whether ur medicals status has changed to passed?
*Check when was the last time , a visa officer viewed ur application. Usually it's given in EST
*U will receive a mail , once there is any change in status

Hi could you clarify about the bolded item? What's EST?

I thought, it's only possible to see your medical status. Nothing else.

Thanks for your reply, actually I did not receive anything from them expect the biometric request only. once i submit it which was from one month ago. nothing changed.
