Hi all,

I have a chance of applying for international licence in India, is it worth it to spend on this before moving to Vancouver.
Will it have any plus point? or not worth it as the licence process may anyways start from scratch after landing and settling there.

You just need to get experience letter for your DL in India. If you have driven more than 2 yrs it will help reduce the wait time for getting full BC driving license considerably. I am assuming you are a new immigrant, you can use your current DL for upto 3 months in BC from the day you land.
International license/Permit is required by visitors.

International license will allow you to legally drive until you can get your local license. Useful for car rentals etc. Once you have a permanent address in a province you are required to get a local license within 3 months. Be sure that you are successful at getting your local license since when you start the testing they take your international license which means if you fail you cannot drive. Good luck
