Hy everyone,

I am from Croatia and I applied for IEC on June 21st this year.
Since then I have only received under My Messages " Awaiting the quota awailability".
I was reading somewhere on this forum that waiting time depends from country to country.
Does anyone have experience with this program?
I am aware that I cannot bring anyone with me on that program,
But can I bring as a visitor then, because for Croatia there is no visa
Needed to enter and stay in Canada.

Hope anyone will be a bit helpful.

well the quota for IEC 2013 is 300 which is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. ( this

and about bringing someone with you - that person needs to apply the same way as you did.

this process usually takes 8 to 10 weeks time (calender days, so you can count weekends but not the holidays) and I believe you applied online with your IEC kompass account.

I put my topic under Temporary workers, since I couldnt find IEC.
Yes, i do have IEC account and I am using my messages for checking the answer.
Well, my daughter is 5 years old, so she cannot apply for that program.
For now, I think I can only bring her with me as a visitor, since she wont be working
there. My employer hopes they would hurry up in the embassy, but there is nothing
We can do, except WAITING ....
If anyone has experience with Young Professionals program,
Please share some experience with me, any advice is needed and welcome

Okay, I didn't know, I also thought that's the right forum for you.

Anyway your daughter can come with you as a visitor.

and as far as the waiting is concerned, this can take little longer time than expected as CHC is facing a strike issue. Though, yes files are being processed, but with a little delay.

And yes best you can do is keep checking your file status.

I would suggest you join some Austria forum where you can have an idea about how it goes.
