Inter Company Transfer Visa- ICT

Hello Everyone,

I have one query regarding ICT( Inter Company Transfer) visa. Currently i am in Canada on ICT visa which is valid for 1 year. I know that i cannot change my employer on my current ICT visa as ICT visa are specific to company.

1. My question is can i find new job/employer in Canada as i am here on ICT visa
2.If yes will the new employer sponsor my work permit.
3. If yes, can i apply the new work permit from Canada Itself OR do i need to apply it from my base country?

1. Yes - you can certainly look for a new job. Whether you will be able to find one is a different matter.
2. The employer will need to obtain an approved LMIA. This is a very long and expensive process - consequently most employers aren't willing to go through it.
3. You can apply for the new work permit from within Canada once you have a job offer and approved LMIA.

I have applied for a Intra Company transfer and it is approved. My office is located in Toronto. But there was a plan to work from client location which is in Richmond, British Colombia.So I have applied ICT for BC, Canada. Now there are chances that I might work from my office location which is in Toronto. Am I allowed to work in Toronto? If yes, my port of entry can be Toronto? If No, what is the procedure to get it done.
