Thanks people for all the suggestions and help in my earlier post. (www[dot]canadavisa[dot]com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/study-permit-first-pr-under-cec-later-t148637.0.html)

I have applied for a Study Permit and am going to apply for a PR under CEC. I was going through the IMM0008ENU form, and got stuck at one point asking for Intended occupation. I have three options that I can write in there but, to me, all sound equally absurd:

1. MBA Student, XXX University – absurd because I am applying for a PR through CEC, not a study permit. I think that the intended occupation should be some NOC category job. Moreover, it should be an occupation!
2. Brand Manager – This is what I want to do after my education, but I am no way eligible to work in that capacity now. Moreover, this job falls in a different NOC category. (I worked as a technical person in Canada).
3. Software Designer – This is what I can do but am not gonna do. My study permit in itself proves that I shall opt for management jobs after study in Canada, and that I shall be studying, not doing any job.

The more I think, the more confuse I get. All experts, please help in deciding what should I fill. Will be much grateful.

Thanks in advance.

PS: A bit summary about me – I worked in Canada from 03/2010 to 07/2011. Then I got admission to one MBA school in Toronto. So, now I am eligible for both PR and Study Permit. Hence, I decided on applying for a Study Permit first and then PR. Already applied for study permit, preparing my PR application now.

You could go with your current occupation. I don't think it matters that much. Having gone through the MBA myself, I can attest that what you think you want to do isn't always what you end up deciding to do.

Looking at your post, keep in mind that your work experience has to occur in the 3 years preceding your application. That means you have until July of this year to apply. So not a lot of time.

Hi Spookyb,

Thanks for the reply. I shall put my current occupation as intended occupation then. It makes most of the sense..

I shall positively apply by July 2nd week. I am planning to apply for as soon as possible with as many documents as I have, and then submit the rest (if any) within 1-2 months after submitting my application. I read on some forums on this site that this is possible. Not sure whether this would have any negative effect on my application. May I know your take on this approach?
