Insurance

Hi everyone,

I've been living in Québec for a while now. Currently waiting for my PR and I am starting to ask myself about insurances over here. Right now I was still insured through my former German insurances.

What are the basic insurances you suggest getting in Canada/QC?
I'm driving occasionally but don't own a car. I live with my wife in her apartment. And have a travel medical insurance which I hope to exchange against a public provincial health insurance soon.

Any suggestions for additional insurances? What about driving for example?

(Don't blame me for opening a new topic, but the search from didn't give me the answers I was looking for)

Hello, for driving you will need car insurance. Every province is a little different , some you have insurance yourself others you insure your car.
Just depends on the Province.

Guess you didn’t notice the OP posted this in May 2016 and hasn’t been seen since so assume they worked it all out since.
