Hi,

I got admission to University of Alberta, this Fall. I have been offered a minimum stipend of CAD 24,800 per year through TA/RAship. The estimated costs as per their website https://www.ualberta.ca/graduate-studies/prospective-students/tuition-and-cost-of-living-estimate is around CAD 25,600.

I have already submitted a VISA application, but I included just the letter offering me stipend as proof of financial support. Will this difference of CAD 800 (which I can obviously meet through various sources like parents' income etc) be a deal-breaker for my application?

I have even applied for an education loan (approx. CAD 5000) after I have submitted my application and right now I have the proof of the education loan being sanctioned. I can't edit my application at this stage. Should I cancel and re-apply or is there anything I can/should do?

Thanks in advance!

You should show tuition+$10K min = 20K approx. You have more than that. Ideally you are supposed to show some money in your bank account for air fare and initial costs. You don't have that in your application.

You can not do anything now except for waiting for the decision.

Yeah, tuition is less than 9000$, the 25600$ is for tuition + living expenses for one year.

So is it better if I cancel and re-apply or should I wait for the decision?
